If You Avoid Failure Forever, You’ll Live In Mediocrity Forever

Don’t be scared.

I wanted to be a writer. I was scared.

Somewhere I got the idea that you had to know everything about a subject before you started. You had to research it, understand it like the back of your hand, and that being a pro meant being exceptional at something.

So, I practiced. I studied good writing. Read books. Wrote little pieces. I showed up when I was feeling good about it. I avoided it when I was feeling bad about it.

I got damn good at planning my future writing career.

Except that’s not how it works. That’s not how anything you want to be good at in life works.

Whether you want to be a great entrepreneur, maybe you want to be the best lawyer or salesman in the world. Perhaps you’ve determined you’re going to be the best creator of all time. Whatever the goal, whatever the mountain you plan on climbing, it will require a few things.

Hard work.

Consistency.

Failure.

How much? I don’t know. Probably more than you want, think you can handle right now, and more than you’ll deserve.

It’s In The Recipe of Success
