Don’t Complicate Life, Prioritize Your Self-Care
If you want to live your best life, you can’t neglect your personal care battery.
You’ll wear down mentally. You’ll grow frustrated, tired, become short-sighted, and develop a poor headspace. You’ll start operating from scarcity instead of abundance. Life will suddenly feel much more complicated than it truly is.
You’ll also find yourself struggling in these areas of life.

I thought self-care was just icing on the cake, not the cake.
I thought getting enough sleep was optional. I thought giving myself space to think, deeply study wisdom, and improve my physical body was important but not a priority. So, I suffered. Mentally. Physically. Psychologically. I thought if I just ‘checked in’ from time to time, that was enough.
It’s not.
You have to prioritize your self-care above everything else.
I’ve learned now that it’s the core, the foundational piece to living your best life. It’s the starting point. From there, you can chase your ambitions, reach for big goals, and pursue your passions. But, without the foundational piece of prioritizing your self-care, you’ll fall victim to getting run down.
Here’s what happens when you prioritize your self-care:
• Your energy and creativity are fueled.
• You have more presence, poise, and patience in your relationships.
• You’re more productive, persistent in your goals, and willing to face challenges.
Don’t neglect your self-care battery. It’s easier to keep your battery restored than constantly building it back up.
