You aren’t focused enough.

You want to be. You’re ambitious. You want to do, accomplish, achieve. You aren’t lazy or have intentions of someone giving it all to you, nor do you want them to.

Still, you aren’t exactly knocking it out of the ballpark. You hit some singles here and there. You’re smart. You have some talent. But you aren’t getting where you want to go, and it’s hard to swallow.

Who wouldn’t prefer a little more of this in their life?

Focus is more than a skill. It’s a byproduct of having a clear understanding of what you want your future to look like. “Have vision beyond your current circumstances,” wrote Brendon Burchard, “Imagine your best future self, and start acting like that person today.”

When you know exactly what you want from your future, exactly what you want to pursue in life, exactly what you are willing to work your ass off to accomplish — then, you’ll find focus.
